Pisa

Pisa

Pisa has much more to offer than just the leaning tower. It certainly deservers a longer stay, beyond the still unparalleled Miracle Square, a UNESCO heritage site.

Pisa was Maritime Republic and it originated and survived the centuries lying along the river Arno. The creases of the river make up for a suggestive scenario that varies as one looks at the river promenade and its palaces peeking from above, divided by five bridges that cross the river, and by the river boats that cross it. Byron, Shelley, Montesquiew, Leopardi, Carducci , D’Annunzio e foscolo all a have praised the beauty of this river walk.
